This is the day that the Lord has made!

Today is our busiest day! We will be in Santa Clara performing deworming, fluoride treatments, VBS, showing a movie, delivering rice and beans, and distributing clothes! This will all take place at Suyapa and Arturo's school, The White Dove, which we all hold so dear to our hearts. Cameron will also be preaching there tonight at 5:00, which we are all excited about! Be praying for us today as we continue to do the Lord's work! We are so blessed to be here and are surrounded by so much love, words and pictures just don't do justice. We hope y'all have a wonderful Friday and miss you all! (Pictures to come as well!)

We were split into 4 groups at the Compassion site: 1) Bible Story 2) Music and Snack 3) Crafts

4) Games. We all had a great time and even learned a lot from the kids. These are just a few pics from VBS!

Words can not describe this place. The children walk by foot beside the highway (where 18 wheelers and cars are flying by) with their younger brother or sister on their hip. They are so young and malnourished that it just breaks your heart. Their mothers have to be 21 or younger and some have multiple children. There will be more to come about Tejeras, but some of the pictures should give you an idea of what it is like. I feel that we ALL left this place with a heavy heart. (Thanks to Mrs. Melanie Mullenax for being so devoted to this wonderful program.)

When we returned back to the base site, we were greeted with this beautiful view. It was the perfect way to end such a long and heart filled day.

Hi Friends and Family, We are thankful that technology has caught up with us, and we are finally able to share all our news with you about this special place. It's even more special this week because of the energetic children of God from Starkville who took a gigantic leap of faith and came along for the ride with a bunch of old folks! Parents, you would be proud. Your children have jumped in from day one without any hesitation or encouragement from the adults. We are amazed at how the Lord is working!
We've had some busy days providing fluoride treatments and deworming medications for many children in the surrounding villages of Quimistan. Along the way we have played games and A LOT of soccer and have found that even our state champion soccer players have some stiff competition from our friends here! I think Noa, Cat, and even Jimmy have learned some new moves!
Last night we served the weekly meal to the children of Tejeras and were very moved. It struck us so that it took us a little while to process our thoughts. The children live along an extremely busy highway and walk by themselves to the feeding place which is really just a thatched hut in a cow pasture. The sound of the trucks flying by is deafening. They come with "utensils" in hand......really anything that will hold food and the entire meal was eaten within a ten minute period. I kept thinking about my sweet friend Melanie Mullenax and her devotion to this project.
This morning some of us went to another village to do fluoride treatments (thanks Wesley!) and the rest of us went with Mrs. Martha and her husband Gary (our hosts) to see the newly constructed and operational hospital. Those of you who know Linda Southward can imagine how her "wheels" were turning when she met with the doctors there. God is truly working!
Most of our team has now gone with Mrs. Martha to deliver clothing and education materials to the children who live across the river. The only access is via a swinging bridge, so you can imagine now why I have chosen to stay here and blog!! This afternoon when they return, we will fill bags with rice and beans for delivery tomorrow in the mountain village of Santa Clara. It will be our busiest day, so please keep us in your prayers. We plan to do flouride and deworming in three separate schools, deliver New Testaments, conduct Vacation Bible School, show a Disney movie, and end with a service for the people of the village with our loved Cameron preaching! What a glorious day it will be!
Tonight we are showing a Disney movie outdoors for some of the people here in Quimistan. It should be a lot of fun......
I am rambling now.....I can't even put into words how incredibly blessed we have been this week. The Lord has provided cooler weather, new friends and opportunities, and strengthened friendships among each other. We are thankful. We miss you all and are keeping you all in our prayers.

The BIG 1-5 IN HONDURAS!!!!!

Our little friend Maria she has adopted all of us as her family we love her SO MUCH!!!!

I was blessed enough to have this little girl and her entire Kindergarten sing me happy birthday in English and Spanish!!

As some of you know I was able to spend my fifteenth birthday here in Honduras, let me just say it was one of the best birthdays I have EVER had!!! The day started out great with tons of letters and sweet pictures from family ( thank you JR and Silas), then we went to the Kindergarten above and got to serve God and show our love for these children as I said before they sang me Happy Birthday( one little girl belted it out the whole time it reminded me of a certain little boy named Silas Walker at his Christmas Pageant). After that we went back to the compound for lunch were I was surprised with another Happy Birthday from the team and a HUGE pineapple upside down cake that was AMAZING made by the great ladies at the compound!!!!!!! And although this day sticks in my mind the rest of the trip has been just as enjoyable and I can't wait to see what else God has in store for me while I am here.

Unbearably HOT! Screaming kids! Chaos around the parachute!

And I AM LOVING IT :-)

Those of you who know me can visualize me with 30-40 kids around a parachute having a ball! We all wind up exhausted and covered with sweat, but so many smiles, giggles and laughs that it is priceless. And they even laugh when I do my stupid tricks (just ask my kids how tough that is!).

Hey y'all its Noa! I am loving Honduras! It is amazing here :) this is the place that we did fluoride and de-worming :) I met the cutest 11 year old named Kevin! he was sooooooo precious! I gave him an electric fan and I was so surprised how much they loved it! Oh and momma thank you soooooo much for all the letters. My favorite were Stuart's, Hannah's, Nick's, and Anna's! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH MOMMA I LOVE YOU TO INFINITY AND BEYOND :) See you soon I love you! Oh and can you send this site ( the blog) to Hannah pwease momma <3 love ya! :* muah!

News from Janice

Everyone, i am here and well. I left the U.S.A. with bags checked, and headed here ahead of me, but as i have traveled, the trunks for the team arrived, but my personal luggage is still flying with delta. Lesson here....pack more clothes in the back pack... God is good and i have been given all i need..His word is true, as what you need, will be provided, AMEN. I will blog more, the girls have surrounded me to take a turn to "talk". LOVE TO ALL YOU out there checking on us....Janice, the lost lamb of FPC! (But found no less by my Shepherd).

Friends and Family,We have had many technical difficulties, but many blessings! We have been very busy and have experienced God's love beyond words. The blog was "deleted" due to a security issue on Google. Since we are blogging from Honduras, the technology is just now catching up with us.
